I’m glad you shat on one of the British retrogrifters in this episode. Those are my favourite videos.

I remember this game back at school. We had loads of Acorn Archimedes computers and every lunch time we’d pile into the computer room to do our homework… well to play games. After all, isn’t that really the entire point of computers? This was one of the games, but you had to befriend certain blazer and tie wearing arseholes to convince them to let you borrow (and obviously copy) their disks. I never managed to get this one, but I wasn’t about to give them my tuckshop money for any old game. It looked very cool though and smashing in windows and shooting terrorists would have been great I’m sure, but Man Utd Europe with it’s 2 player mode and Moonquake (an Atomic Bomber man clone) won the day. A few months later we were all banned from playing games anyway. But at least I never had to hand over my tuckshop change!

Speaking of the Laird, I just took a look at his YT channel, his most recent video has six comments and I am sure all of them are from himself. This is the first time I have seen this game, looks good. Will need to give it a try on the Amiga

It’s not unusual (no, I’m not Tom Jones) to have comments and likes from people with no videos though. But he much have more sock puppet accounts than there’s pieces on the chess board.

The Laird’s videos appeared a few times during Youtube searches. Thankfully his intro music just annoyed me (I later discovered it was Stunrunner for the Lynx) and I didn’t bother watching. But then I saw him mentioned in the Vega+ video Slops did and he looked like a gormless plank so I then definitely didn’t bother watching his channel.

There’s nothing wrong with looking gormless or plank-like, just have the decency to not show the world. Hence why I don’t do videos as I hate my voice and daren’t inflict it on the world.

I should add it wasn’t the music of Stun Runner so much as using the whole speech and music from the game. Plus just a generally poorly done intro card. But I never had a Lynx until recently, the chip music I enjoy the most is SID stuff.
