Yep – the arcade one uses a 3 button system I is very disorienting to play – a left and right attack and jump button. Makes it very difficult when the hoards are attacking from all sides. No such bollocks on the speccy port which plays great. Interestingly despite doing away with the left / right attack buttons on double dragon, technos decided to back to Renegade style controls again for Double Dragon 2 which immediately spoilt the game for me
I dont know if river city ransom still has multiplayer support but thats a hell of a game to play and cheap!

Nice playthrough and love this version of Renegade – the speccy one is more playable / enjoyable than the arcade version for my money
100% mate i think the arcade pales in comparison to this, not a usual situation but it’s definitely the case here !
