If a real script were written by Kieren, he’shoukd of taken time to seek out other sources from Caspain software, basic rule of all jurnolism, you NEVER use single sources.
Darryl Still was less than impressed when he saw what was presented, gave a very opposing account, pointing out that behind Atari’s back, Caspain had been trying to sell Zero 5 as a future PlayStation title, when it had been pitched as a Jaguar exclusive.
Kieren should of at least spoken with the M. D of Caspain, leading figures from Atari UK and Telegames, to give a balanced, unbiased account.
When your heading up a channel who’s formats include a series called Fact Hunt, you really should fact check submissions, no matter who from.

He’s also selling signed copies (!), and makes no mention of the benevolence said in your email. As expected this book also looks shit of course aswell! 😂🙈

Revival) in order to sell these signed physical copies?
Why would anyone want his books in print form when he’s shown how bad they are for free? Is he hoping people will feel sorry for him and buy a signed copy? Or that his trolling and troublemaking will be overlooked because he’s giving away a few free books that cost him nothing?

Are we being led to believe that a pathalogical liar, a sociopath, who has caused untold emotional damage to people in the retro scene, who has never – ever – admitted being wrong, ever, who has invented so many unbelievable stories (writing Steve Davis Snooker on the ZX Spectrum aged 7), who created fake Twitter and forum posts, who called the police on people with fake crimes and called peoples employers, has suddenly, out of the blue, said “you know what, Ive seen the light – Im a changed man. I have been wrong, I have hurt people, and am turning over a new leaf”.
yes mate i’m leaning towards this thinking too BUT there does appear to be a degree of veracity to all this certainly in terms of the “signed” book. i don’t know what to think at this point and have still not ruled out the potential that this is some infernal trap !
I work for local government at a level Id probably sacked for even being on this site, and as part of my job, I effectively ghost write a lot of emails for people – yes this happens (they are thick as $hite and I have a way woth words apparently). I could knock up a convincing “give me a chance, Ive turned over a new leaf” email over a cup of tea, so no doubt someone else could, especially us lot that know a lot of him, his background, and and he is (allegedly) being contrite over…
When this latest brainless scheme backfires, will he claim to have been hacked? Just because you give away a book for free doesn’t mean you’re forgiven for all your bad behaviour over the years. I just ran the download link (https://we.tl/t-YdfczfZzrE) through VirusTotal and it came back with 1 suspicious result. Whilst it could be a false positive, there are several red flags with the generous out of the blue email. I would err on the side of caution here…
If that is that is the Laird, then even at free the books cost to much !
If he wants to help the retro scene then leave, delete everything and just go.
well that’s definitely the most sensible option really instead of putting himself through all of this and for what ? he certainly can’t be making any money from his books and now that he’s giving them away for free what does he hope to achieve ? i can only hope (although that hope is fading fast) that the email is real. this whole thing is totally bizarre.
