I’ve had this a while and still enjoy giving it a quick play as I do enjoy a good arcade racer.
One complaint I’ve read about it is the rubber-banding of opponents; if you’re first there’s always someone right behind you, however this also means if you spin out early on you’ve still a good chance of winning as they’ll’ve slowed down for you. What I find best is to sit behind the first few throughout the race, gaining boost from slip-streaming, then hit that boost on the last straight.
But yes if you like arcade racers I’d recommend picking this up, it’s often on sale.
Yes, the rubber banding is obvious and a bit silly, I’m not a massive fan of it in racing games tbh BUT in an arcade game like this it can be excused, particularly as it means you’re pretty much always ramming and bashing into other cars. It’s exciting in its own way, although I feel it might grate a bit on the highest difficulty as one major bump and you’re pretty much out of the running. Still, it’s got a good feel to it and I enjoy the game.
